Obituary of Dennis Edward Nachand

Dennis Nachand, 74, passed away peacefully at Vanderbilt Hospital on March 6th, 2016 surrounded by loved ones. He leaves behind his wife of 42 years Jeannie (Hudson) Nachand and his son Lee Nachand. Dennis is predeceased by his son, Miles. Born and raised in Louisville, KY, he was the son of Edward Henry Nachand and Hazel (Halloway) Nachand. He attended Fern Creek HS and Western Kentucky University. His everlasting presence can be felt in the lives he impacted from his many years teaching and coaching at Butler, Doss and P.R.P High Schools. Most of all Dennis (Denny) cared and cheered for all the people he encountered in his life. His stories of their success were filled with passion and love that only an " old coach" could possess. He was always a shoulder to lean on for his family and friends. And dearly loved his wife Jeannie through all of life's trials and tribulations. His friendship will forever be missed by all that cherished his council. The family will hold a private service in Louisville and, in lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the Miles Nachand Fund.
