Pauline Grace Schoenfeld Rann passed away Monday, May 9, 2016 in Murfreesboro, TN. She was born in 1921 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the daughter of Paul Emil and Grace May Cockrell Schoenfeld. She was proceeded in death by husband Grover R. Rann, and daughter, Henrietta Alicia Ewing.
She was a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church in Cleveland, Tennessee for more than three decades and served as President of the Ruth Aiken Circle for a number of years. She owned and operated “Day and Play Nursery” before retiring in 1990. She is remembered for her dedication to family, friends and her church.
She is survived by a son, Grover Russell Rann, II (Carol) of Jacksonville, FL, and daughters, Becky Dethero (John) of Huntsville, AL, Renate Mathews, Nancy Houston (Dan), Patti Thigpen (Kenneth) all of Murfreesboro, TN, and Jeannie Prinslow (Karl) of Lansing, KS.
Eleven grandchildren: Shannon Mathews Warner, Mark Mathews, Brad and Lock Dethero, Lee Houston Chesney, Beth Bachura, Dusty Cochran, Kell Baumann, and Taylor and Logan Thigpen, Chris York and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 3 pm until the memorial service at 4 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. The Rev. Debbie Stokes and Mary Parson officiating. Memorial gifts may be made to Broad Street United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 3, Cleveland, TN 37364-0003.
