Obituary of Cynthia Gail McClendon Maxwell

Cynthia (Cindy) Gail McClendon Maxwell passed away peacefully at her home in Murfreesboro, TN. on June 11, 2016 at the age of 56. She was born on July 11, 1959 in Nashville TN, and has been a lifelong resident of Middle Tennessee.
Cindy was a 1977 graduate of Smyrna High School. She held a degree in childcare from Tennessee Tech. Cindy was a CNA with Cloverbottom until she became disabled in the 90's.
Spending time with her granddaughter and close friends was very special to her. She also enjoyed going to church, time with family, listening to Elvis, cross-stitching, crocheting, playing cards, and going on long drives.
She was a member of Florence Baptist Church, and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend.
Cynthia is preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Owen Douglas Maxwell, grandparents Archie and Elizabeth McClendon, and Cordie Loretta and Odell Roberts.
She is survived by her daughter, Tina Beckworth, daughter in-law Rebecca (Becky) Eberhart, one grand-child, Breena L'Huillier, of Murfreesboro, TN, her parents, Dimple Dean and Robert Clinton (RC) McClendon of Smyrna TN, brother and sister in-law, Bobby Eugene and Debbie McClendon, nephew and niece, Clint Lane and Cheyenne McClendon of La Vergne, TN, sister and brother in-law Tracey and Dale Swafford of Murfreesboro, TN, sisters Pamela Lynn Gordon (Chris) and Cathy Diane Hill of Murfreesboro, TN, nephew Clinton Dean McClendon, niece Stephanie Victoria Burgess, great niece Kayla Michelle Young, niece Shannon Saylor, nephews Logan Saylor, Larry Starks and great-nephew La Darian Starks all of Murfreesboro, TN, her beloved chihuahua and faithful companion, "Socks", whom she loved and adored, and many other loving aunts, uncles, cousins and beloved friends from all over.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 15th, 2016, from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with service following with Bro. Milton Hicks officiating.
Please, no flowers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts and/or donations may be made to the family.
