I thank god above for my long-time friend Bubba ,as many people know,I literally owe my life to this great man!!!! How can I ever repay that?? I learned so much from him and have such respect and honor for him and his fine family,I hope someday I can only repay what he had given me which is life itself!!

Our deepest condolences and sympathy to Joy and family for their loss. I always looked forward to stopping by and visiting my cousin and family, whenever I would travel down from Louisville, Ky. He was quite a man. He will be missed. Knowing he is Home, with the Lord, and his family, will give us all comfort and peace. God bless.

So sorry to hear of Bubba's passing. He was a wonderful man and cousin, especially to my brother, Ben. Our hearts and prayers are with you, Joy, and the family. As believers, we always look forward to seeing our loved ones in Heaven...just wish it could have been a few more years. Hoping to make the visitation and give hugs.
Much love to all, Mary

I first knew Bubba when we were at UT. He was a caring person, always kind to everyone (as the poet says, " ...a friend to man"..). I have long-admired his efforts to preserve his family's land and to keep a part of Rutherford County's history intact. I send my deepest sympathies to Joy and his children. He was truly one of our finest Rutherford County citizens and will be sorely missed!
