Barbara G. Golightly Kennedy, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017. She was born June 27, 1932 in Pope County, Illinois.
She married Dale M. Kennedy April 26, 1948.
Barbara was known as Gram to her family. The Card Lady to her church family, mom and grandmother to many others. Second to her love for people was her love for pictures and family history.
Barbara is survived by her son Greg (Mary), her daughter Jada, her daughter in law Pat, her grandkids Nicole, Joshua (Jullian), Austin (Katy), Amber (Corey), Colby (Kortney), Matthew and eleven great grandkids.
She also would want to mention her special friends Tony, Tim, and Lori.
She is preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Nevil Golightly, her husband Dale Kennedy, her sons Roger and Brad Kennedy, her sister Donna Cohen, and her brother George Golightly.
Service will be held at Murfreesboro Funeral Home on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 1:30 pm with visitation before from 11:00 am until service time. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Murfreesboro, Tn.
Active pallbearers are Tim Simmons, Tony Simmons, Austin Kennedy, Kaleb Kennedy, Jason Kennedy, Colby Kennedy, Matthew Kennedy, and Corey Wesenberg. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Kennedy and Kellie Ross.
