Obituary of Hugh Taylor Snoddy Jr.

Hugh Taylor Snoddy Jr. left the bonds of this earth and into the arms of our Lord and Savior on January 19, 2017 at the age of 66. He was surrounded by his loving family. Hugh was born October 24th, 1950 and graduated from Tennessee Preparatory School/TPS. Plumber by trade, he was a multi-faceted musician, songwriter, storyteller, and appreciated antiques and all things old. Hugh was a friend to many and whatever life tossed at him…he tossed it right back with gusto. Hugh is preceded in death by his father - Hugh Taylor “T” Snoddy, mother - Magnus Elizabeth Cooke Snoddy, and wife - Patricia Ann Snoddy. Hugh is survived by his children Hugh David Snoddy (Dawn), Charles Alfred Snoddy (Misty), Timothy Aaron Snoddy, Belinda Louise Snoddy Slipher (Brad), Elizabeth Jeanette Grace, Jennifer Sue Grace; grandchildren Christina Nicole Snoddy, Catlina Taylor Snoddy, Mia Paige Snoddy, Brandon Presley Gilley, Ayla Rose Snoddy, Jessica LeeAnn Snoddy, Ashton Lee Farrar, Timothy Michael Snoddy, Olivia November Grace Snoddy, Hayden Cain Snoddy, Bradley Weston Slipher, Alexander Jacob Johnson, Grey William Johnson; great grandchildren Adelaide Isadora Snoddy, Levi Michael Helton and Sophia May Snoddy; brother Gerry Eugene Snoddy (Norma); nephews Christopher Taylor Snoddy, Colten Lee Osburnsen and Loyd Wayne Rogers; niece MeLisha “Missy” Mae Rogers Childress (Jason) and sister in law Martha Blair Rogers Barker. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00pm Sunday January 22, 2017 and 9:30am to 11:00am Monday January 23, 2017 at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with service to follow at 11:00am. Interment will be at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville, TN at 1:30pm.
