James E. Travis, 61, of Murfreesboro, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Travis was born in Nashville to the late A.E. and Lucille Travis. He was a past employee of Bridgestone and a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Mr. Travis was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Marilyn Seay Travis; sons, Kevin Sean (Chelle) Travis of Atlanta, GA; Eaen Chase (Brandy) Travis of Murfreesboro; sister, Ruth Travis Hollingsworth of Murfreesboro; brother, Jerry R. Travis of Cookeville; grandchildren, Chance Travis; Ethan Travis; Caleb Robinson; Ashlen Travis; Caley Robinson; Kylie Travis.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday, October 6, 2011 from 5:00pm-9:00pm and Friday, October 7, 2011 from 12:00pm - 2:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Friday, October 7, 2011 at 2:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Bro. J.D. Bosheers officiating. Burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
