Obituary of Roger Dale Haywood

Roger Dale Haywood, 60, passed from this life on September 29, 2017.  Roger was born September 20, 1957 to Roy and Louise (Lowe) Haywood.  He graduated from Antioch High School in 1977 and married Angela Badgett on November 17, 1979.  His career included working as a pipefitter with Union Local 572, a loading supervisor with Cassens Transport and finally as a pest control technician with Orkin Pest Control.  He was a devoted fan of UT football and an avid runner for many years. Above all, Roger was absolutely devoted to his family. He was a father who always involved himself in every detail of his sons' lives and supported, respected and loved his wife unconditionally. He was a member of the Pentecostals of Smyrna. He was a man of strong faith, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ’s love and the beauty and peace that would await him after his passing.  He is survived by his wife, Angela, his sons, Wesley (Abbi) Haywood, Reese (Trista Neavin) Haywood, brother, Anthony Haywood, mother-in-law, Jean Badgett, and aunts, uncle, nieces and nephew. 

Visitation with the Haywood family will be Monday from 4:00PM until 8:00PM at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11:00AM Tuesday at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Brother Carlos Sadler officiating. Interment will be 2:00Pm Tuesday at Bascom Cemetery in Warren County, Tennessee with family and friends serving as pallbearers. On line guestbook is available at www.murfreesborofuneralhome.com
