Obituary of Josephine Mosley Rigsby

 Josephine “Josie” Mosley Rigsby age 91 went home to be with the Lord on October 16, 2017 at Arbors of Azalea Court in Smyrna surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Rigsby was born on January 6, 1926 in Rutherford County to the late Sam J. Mosley, Sr. and Elva Lorene Herrod Mosley. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 66 years;  Edmon T. Rigsby and her brothers; Sam J. “Buddy” Mosley, Jr. and James “Pappy” Wayne Mosley.

Mrs. Rigsby is survived by her beloved daughter; Gail (Larry) Armstrong of Murfreesboro, two grandsons; Jeffrey (Heather) Raffield of Athens, and Jonathan Raffield of Murfreesboro and one great grandson; Jack Thomas (JT) Raffield of Athens. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Josie was raised in Murfreesboro and was baptized at Westvue Church of Christ where she attended church until her and her family moved to Indianapolis in 1957. She retired from Wm. H. Block’s in Indianapolis in 1988 and moved back to Murfreesboro. Josie was beautiful inside and out. Her greatest joy was her family who she loved unconditionally and she was greatly loved in return. She will forever be loved and missed.

Visitation will be 11:00AM Thursday with Funeral service to follow at 1:00PM at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Brother Nickey Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery with family serving as pallbearers.
