Tom, thank you for being such a wonderful friend to me.. probably the best friend I have ever had. You were definitely one of a kind. You cared for people with all you had never expecting anything in return and there are not many people in this world like that. Heaven has gained a wonderful angel and my world is a little darker. I know you had your doubts about things because of all you had to go through but I know I will see you again someday. And even though I miss you I know that you are in a good place now with no pain. Bye for now.. Love you.

I wish to express my sincerest sympathy to Steve, Michelle and the Hanks family and friends because of losing Mr. Tom recently in death. When our loved ones fall asleep in death, the pain and grief seems unbearable. Our loving God, Jehovah (Psalm 83:18), understands how we feel and he comforts us by means of his word the Bible. Psalm 34: 18 tells us: "Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit." Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection. (John 5:28, John 6:40 and John 11:23-25) Also, Titus 1: 2 tells us this promise of a resurrection: "is based on a hope of the everlasting life that God, who cannot lie, promised long ago." Isaiah 26:19 "Your dead will live......And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever. For Jehovah himself has spoken it." For more comforting scriptures please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. It has given me hope, strengthened my faith and helped me find the answer to Why? I know it will do the same for you. John 17:3 Again, the family is in my prayers and I offer my heartfelt condolences. Feel free to contact me if you wish at my email address; myranj@centurytel.net

We are saddened to learn that you’re mourning the loss of your dear love one. However, it saddens our God even more. No doubt, you have many fond memories which will resurface from time to time. And because you do have memories, certainly shows that almighty God has memories as well. Therefore, with full confidence you can take comfort in knowing that he longs to restore perfect life to all those in his memory (Job 14:13-15; Rev 21:3, 4). Please accept our condolences at this most distressing time.

I am very sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you in this difficult time. I know it’s hard to go through this pain, but I hope you may find comfort in knowing that God cares about how you feel and that He promises that “there is going to be a resurrection.” (Acts 24:15) (1 Peter 5:7) Won’t that be wonderful to see our loved ones again! If you would like to learn more about this hope, feel free to visit jw.org.
