Obituary of Diana Lynn Pagan Bishop
BISHOP, LYNN PAGAN, Age 60, passed away June 4, 2018, surrounded by family and loved ones.
A lifelong Tennessean, Lynn grew up in Murfreesboro, and attended Oakland High School and Jackson State Community College. Lynn was a friend to everyone and truly never met a stranger. Family and friends knew her as “Sister,” “Gammy,” “Lynnie B,” “Mama Lynn,” and “Road Dog.”
Lynn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe. We can all find comfort in knowing that she is reunited with him and they are dancing in eternal life.
Lynn is survived by her parents, Martha and Daniel Pagan, her daughter, Jana Coss Elder (Jamison), her brothers and sisters, Daniel Pagan, Jr., Debbie Pagan Robinson (Gary), and Scott Pagan, her granddaughter, Olivia Elder (Jana), her step-children, Kevin Bishop, Laura Baker (JT), Julie Trzil (Ben), and Sarah Bishop, her step-grandchildren, Thomas Joseph Bishop (Kevin), Claire Elizabeth Baker (Laura) and Henry Ryan Trzil (Julie), and brother-in-law, Billy Bishop, several nieces and nephews, along with many other family members and a gazillion friends.
Pallbearers are Scott Pagan, Gary Robinson, Billy Bishop, Jamison Elder, JT Baker and Kyree Elder.
A Celebration of Life will be at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, June 9 at Murfreesboro Funeral Home, 145 Innsbrooke Blvd., Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Deacon Pete Semich, celebrant, with visitation to begin at 10:00 a.m.
Lynn participated in fundraisers for numerous charities, including Meals on Wheels, the one closest to her heart. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lynn’s honor to FiftyForward Meals on Wheels, www.fiftyforward.org, 174 Rains Ave., Nashville, TN 37203.
