I just heard about this unfortunate news. Eric was a sweet, amazing young man with a great love of history and a rapier like wit. I got to know him when we filmed together in Northern Ireland back during "The Troubles" in the early 90's. Was fortunate enough to get to know him better while I worked with Eric, and his father, Walther, on the Minnesota Fats Project. My condolences and sympathies to The General, and Miss Margie. I know there are no words that can truly comfort a parent during such. Wonderful young man. Love, Read Ridley
