I am deeply saddened to hear of Kenny's passing. I was fortunate in life to have had the opportunity to have known Kenny as a friend and fellow officer. I worked with him double in unit 607 in the 6th pct, SCPD and later in the Juvenile Unit on Team One. Our paths would cross again when Ken was promoted to Detective and assigned to the 6th squad. I returned to the 6th when I was promoted to Sergeant and once again worked near Kenny. Kenny was always there for everyone, off and on the job. Our families socialized together and shared our ups and downs.
My only regret was not getting to drive since Ken was 6'7" and I was 5'8" and the early model cars had bench seats which wouldn't allow someone of Kenny's size to be a passenger, when his shorter partner would drive. LOL.
We will all miss you, but heaven has a new guardian.
Till then, Bob and Dor Prince

Uncle Ken,
I'll never forget you. Since I've heard of your passing, I can't stop thinking about it. I remember spending nights at your house, with Kenny and Kevin. Having dinner when you got home and making fun of your height. "Hey, look. It's Uncle Height! Hows the weather up there?" Watching you go through your career to Detective made me realize that I wanted to work in Law Enforcement. I've always admired what you did for a living and it rubbed off on me. Who would have known? I know you have to look over your family now that you're gone. But it could swing down to Florida once in a while, and watch over me when the job get's crazy, it'd be nice to have you there as back up for me, I'd really appreciate it.
Thank you giving me the inspiration to push me forward into following in your footsteps. I'm very proud of you. I'm glad you're finally at peace.
Love, Pete
