Obituary of Edna Zeola Massengale

Edna Zeola Torbett Massengale, age 87 of Murfreesboro, TN passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2020. Born on March 15,1933 to the late Ollie and Addie Casteel Torbett. She was born in Madisonville, TN. Raised in Englewood, TN she graduated from Englewood High School. She was a star basketball player. She worked at Dupont May, Hosiery Mill and the State of TN before taking a job at the U.S. Postal Service. She worked at the U.S.P.S. for many years before retiring as a Postmaster in 1996. She was active in her church. She attended Music City Assembly of God until 1999 when she moved to Murfreesboro and became a member of World Outreach Church. She was a faithful prayer warrior and student of the Bible. She was kind and gentle and loved by all. She is survived by her daughters: Pamela Rediker and Teresa Menendez, grandsons: Eric Thomas and Brian Rediker, brother: Reece Torbett and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at 2pm at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Murfreesboro, TN, Rev. Bob Bush officiating.
