Melvin Lee Vaughn, 66, of Smryna, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at his home. He was born in Davidson county to the late Jesse Willard and Nellie Gertrude Higdon Vaughn and former employee for General Electric.
Mr. Vaughn is survived by his wife, Margie Vaughn of Smryna; four sons, Marvin Vaughn of Cannon County, Lee Vaughn of Smryna, David Vaughn of Lascassas Jamie Vaughn of Smyrna; his daughter Denise Vaughn of Christiana; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Gilbert Vaughn of LaVergne, Harry Vaughn of Antioch, Jesse Vaughn Jr. of Murfreesboro; two sisters, Ernestine Jones of Smyrna, and Pauline Loyd of Murfreesboro.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday, August 23, 2007 beginning at 12:00 p.m. with services following at 2:00 p.m. at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Cornwell officiating. Those wishing may send condolences online at www.murfreesborofuneralhome.com.
