Shirley Fay Herman, age 68 of Christiana, TN passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023, surrounded by her family.
She was born January 5, 1955, in Nashville, TN to Gene Gleaves and Marjorie Faulk.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gene Gleaves; son, Calvin Smotherman; nephew, Nathan Gleaves, and step-father, Sam Hooper Faulk.
She is survived by her husband, Eddie Herman; son, Josh (Courtney) Smotherman; daughters, Misty (Curtis) Kasinger; Jackie Council; mother, Marjorie Faulk; siblings, Chuck Gleaves; Cathy Adams; Michael Gleaves; C.C. Gleaves; Justina Gleaves; Mary Grace (Melton) Broadway; Evelyn Heffington, Calvin (Joan) Faulk; Johnny (Cindy) Faulk; Pat (John) Hartman; Sam Faulk; Danny (Helen) Faulk; grandchildren, Gage Smotherman; Grant Smotherman; Griffin Smotherman; Colten Smotherman; Maleigh Boyd; Austin Smotherman; Kennedy DuBois; Maddox Moore; Emily Kasinger; Dawson Lapp; Kaysea Hunter; step-mother, Lisa Gleaves; and several beloved great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Shirley loved helping others, traveling, drag racing, mud bogging, watching her grandchildren play sports, but most of all she truly loved her family.
Visitation with the family will be held at Murfreesboro Funeral Home on Thursday, March 30, 2023, from 4pm 8pm. Service will be Friday, March 31, 2023, at 11am with Pastor TJ Burton officiating. Interment will be at Miller Cemetery.
