Obituary of Tara Dawn Payne

Tara Dawn Payne, age 49 passed away May 15, 2023 at her home in Antioch, TN. She was born in West Union, Ohio on July 28, 1973. She was survived by her beloved mother Cathy Bailey of Christiana, TN; her father Terry (June) Conley of Brush Creek, Ohio; sons Michael Zachary Johnson/ Megan Houchens of Glasgow, KY and Shane Gregory (Mattie) Johnson of Johnson City, TN; sisters Cindy (Kevin) Singleton of Murfreesboro, TN, Michelle (Andy) Tucker of Bell Buckle, TN; nephews Matthew (Shannon) Turley, Solomon Turley/Chelsea Johnson, Austin Singleton, Zeb Herrod and Ross Tucker; niece Hannah Herrod; great nephews and nieces Noah, Kenadee, Lakin and Lucas Turley and Mayleigh Johnson; uncle Jeff Reed of Murfreesboro, TN and many more Uncles, Aunts and Cousins Also survived by her step-children Ashley (Daniel) Leonard and Bubba/Jennifer Payne; her Fiance’ Jim Sampson and his precious granddaughter Emma Campbell. Preceded in death by her dad Orville “Joe” Bailey of Christiana, TN; husband James “Jimmy” Reno Payne. Tara was so beautiful and fun. She loved her family and her many friends. She had a soft spot for animals. She always had dogs and cats. She loved her garden, she could grow anything. She was ready to spend a day on the water, a lake, river, even a creek to skip rocks. Tara loved summer, she looked forward to riding her jet ski with wind in her hair, and a smile on her face. Please remember her that way. Tara never wanted to have a funeral service or to be buried. She will be cremated and her ashes will be scattered over the lake per her wishes. There will be no services. In lieu of flowers do an act of kindness, Bless someone in need.
