Obituary of Clyde Stanley Roberts

Clyde (Robby) Stanley Roberts, 77, of Christiana, TN, passed away peacefully on October 4th, surrounded by family. Robby was born on May 24th, 1946 in Casper, Wyoming to Robert M. and Lavina M. Roberts. He was a proud member of the United States Air Force from 1965 to 1969. He served in the Vietnam War as an Aircraft Control and Warning Operator. After returning home, Robby obtained his Associate's Degree in Business and landed his first job as an Industrial Engineer. That kicked off a 36-year career with U.S. Steel where he retired as a Maintenance Superintendent in 2005. Robby enjoyed many things including flyfishing, 'putzing' (as he called it), gardening, and traveling. He has traveled to many places domestically and abroad. He had a love for history and culture. He was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) and the Eagle Wing Motorcycle Association (EWMA). He enjoyed the freedom of the open road, the camaraderie, and the lasting friendship's made. Robby was a family man who taught the importance of hard work and doing what is right. He faced every challenge in life with admirable strength and courage. His knowledge and guidance were the foundation to his family. He is now at peace, but will forever live on in our hearts and memories. Robby is survived by his soulmate and wife of 53 years, Lynda M. (Jennings) Roberts, daughter Desiree L. Adam (Cameron), brother Anthony P. Roberts (Peggy), sister Bernice L. Llewellyn, and grandchildren Tyler C. Roberts (J.T.), Brianna L. Roberts (Abby), Gabrielle M. Florek (Yervant). Robby is preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert M. Roberts (Monica), and brother Alphues W. Roberts (Denise).
