Audrey Anne Ford Gotts (93) went to be with her Lord on February 26, 2024, peacefully at home, surrounded by her family. Audrey was born on July 11,1930. She is proceeded in death by her parents Harold and Sarah Ford, her husband Arthur Gotts and her nephew David Tornberg. She is survived by her son Brian Gotts (Cathie Gotts) and daughter Laurie West (Mike West), grand-daughters Sarah Gotts, Julie Anderson (Dean Higbee), Michelle Nelson (Craig Nelson), Heather Sorbera (Michael Sorbera) and great-grandchildren Jake Anderson, Anthony Sorbera, Sydney Nelson, Nickolas Sorbera, Bradyn Nelson, Jayson Jolly and Clay Nelson; Her sister Virginia Bosak (Dennis Bosak) and nephews Eric Tornberg and Kevin Tornberg (Vicky Tornberg), nieces Kaye Horsfall and Linda Freiny and nephew Rick (Sue) Gotts, along with numerous great nieces and nephews. She will also be dearly missed by her friends in her Birthday Lunch Club. Audrey and Arthur enjoyed sailing the Gulf of Mexico throughout their 46 years of marriage. Audrey loved people and chose a career as a nurse in a physicians office where she could help others everyday. After retirement, because she loved to shop, she worked at Bealls for several years. At 80 years old she became licensed with Clowns International where she brought joy and laughter to many people. Her licensed clown name was Little Clown Sunshine, our Nanee loved to clown around. Audrey is leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. She had an incredible ability to make friends wherever she went, her calendar was filled with names and memories so that she never missed a chance to send a card. Like she always said “you have to be a friend to have a friend.” As we bid our farewells, let us remember Audrey, not with sorrow, but with the warmth and love that she gave throughout her life. Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend. Rest in peace, dear Nanee, you will be greatly missed, and your memory will shine on in our hearts forever. May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand. Visitation with the family will be 12:00 until 2:00pm Saturday, March 2, 2024 with Memorial Service at 2:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home.
