Obituary of Vincent Raymond Cardella, Sr.

Vincent Raymond “Vinny” Cardella, Sr.,79, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother passed away on April 3rd, 2024 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He was born January 22, 1945 to the late Luigi and Carmela Cardella in the beautiful town of Agrigento, Sicily. Vinny was a Civil Engineer by profession. He was a man of honor, dedication, and skill, known for his love of building and fixing things. Vinny was described as kind, funny, and handy. He touched the lives of many. A devoted husband to Cira for 56 years, they shared countless memories and built a life full of love. Married after only a few short months of dating, their love story was one of unwavering commitment and deep affection that served as an inspiration to all who knew them. As a father, he instilled values of hard work and integrity in his children, Lisa Cardella, Denise Lamazares (Carl), and Vincent Cardella, Jr. He was a source of wisdom and guidance, a figure of stability, and a beacon of light in their lives. His legacy continues through his grandchildren who cherished him, Ashley Schiano, Taylor Lamazares, Ryan Lamazares, Vanessa Cardella, Vincent Cardella, III, and great-grandchildren Trenton Gibbs, Jr., and A'Liliana Gibbs. Each of them will carry forward his kind spirit, remembering his teachings and the moments of joy they shared. Vinny is also survived by his brother, Dominick, who joins the family in mourning the loss of such a remarkable man. Predeceased by his parents, Luigi and Carmela, Vinny now reunites with them in eternal peace. Vinny’s life was a testament to the virtues of patience, perseverance, and love. He will be remembered for his wisdom, his sense of humor, kind spirit, and the strength of his character. His memory will be forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew him. Visitation with the family will be 3:00-6:00pm Tuesday, April 9, 2024 with a funeral service to follow at 6pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home Deacon Pete Semich officiating.
