Obituary of Kathleen Simmons

Kathleen Bradley Simmons, 77, of Murfreesboro, passed away Friday, December 14, 2007 at Richland Place Healthcare. She was born in Kingsport, TN to the late William Howard and Vola Florence Odom Bradley. Mrs. Simmons was a homemaker. She was very active being past Queen with the Red Hat Society, past board member of the Homeowners Association of the Cottages at Innsbrooke , member of New Vision Circle of United Methodist and attended St. Marks United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Simmons is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 56 years, Billy Ray Simmons and brother, Glenn Bradley. She is survived by her children, Dr. Cris (Anna) Simmons of Seattle, WA, Lynn (Bill) Branscom of Murfreesboro, Duane (Angela) Simmons of Knoxville; grandchildren, Cris Jr and Brie Simmons of Seattle, WA, Sarah and Megan Branscom of Murfreesboro; step grandchildren, Melody Branscom Crim of NC; step great grandchildren, JoAnna and Matthew Crim of NC; sister in law, Frances Powers of Rogersville, TN; host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 7:00 pm Sunday, December 16, 2007 at the Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Dr. Fred Hembree and Dr. Jim Clardy officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Memorial Park in Kingsport, TN. Visitation with the family will be 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Murfreesboro Funeral Home Sunday, December 16, 2007.
