Ruth McNelley, age 80, of Murfreesboro, passed away Saturday, February 02, 2008 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. A native and a longtime resident of Murfreesboro she was born to the late Palmer and Ethel Lewis. Mrs. McNelley retired as a licensed practical nurse from Boulevard Terrace and was of the Baptist faith. .
Mrs. McNelley was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wallace O. McNelley; sons, Dean McNelley and Lynn McNelley; sister, Lois Irene Lewis. She is survived by her sons, Don McNelley of Chester, VA and Wallace A. McNelley of Nashville; sisters, Hazel Feathers and Ann Werner, both of Murfreesboro; brothers, Tommy Lewis and James L. Lewis, both of Murfreesboro; five grandchildren and seven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday, February 7, 2008 from 5:30 pm until services at 6:30 p.m. at Bellwood Baptist Church with Pastor James Avaritt officiating. Burial will be private.
