Obituary of William Henderson

Bill Henderson, 94, of Murfreesboro, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at The Health Center at Adams Place. He was born in the Overall community of Rutherford county to the late Dr. William Thomas Henderson and Florence Jarratt Henderson. Mr. Henderson was a retired owner of Haverhill Awning and attended Salem United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army. His great loves of life were his family, friends, fishing, raising beagle hounds, wood working and music. Mr. Henderson is preceded in death by his parents; wife and mother of his children, Lillian Henderson; wife, Johnnie Henderson; brother, Albert Henderson; sisters, Evelyn Henderson and Florence Smith. Mr. Henderson is survived by his son and daughter in law, William T. Henderson III and Peggy of Murfreesboro; daughter and son in law, Elaine Henderson Davenport and Alvin of Murfreesboro; four granddaughters, Terri Davenport, Amanda Davenport, Stacey Hawn and Audra Williams; eighteen great grandchildren; three brothers, John Henderson of Rockvale, Harold Henderson of Louisville, KY and Matt Henderson of Murfreesboro. The funeral service with military honors will be 6:00 pm Friday, February 22, 2008 at the Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Tuttle officiating. Burial to be private. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm Friday, February 22, 2008 at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. The family asks memorial donations be made to Salem United Methodist Church.
