Obituary of Mack Shults Sr.

Mack Arthur Shults Sr., 60, of Murfreesboro went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 9, 2008. Born in Sikeston, Missouri, he lived in Murfreesboro for the past 30 years. Mack was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church on Thompson Lane in Murfreesboro. He was a former member of the Rutherford County and National Association of Realtors. He was a life member of the DAV and a former member of the NADA. He was a former sales manager of Stones River Nissan, Gary Force Acura, and Mark Pirtle Nissan in Shelbyville.
Mr. Shults was a veteran of the United States Army. He served in the Army from September 1967 until October 1969. During that time he served in Vietnam from January 1968 until January 1969.
Mr. Shults is survived by his wife of 32 years, Patsy Shults of Murfreesboro; one daughter, Iva McKinney; three sons, Christopher Shults, Patrick Shults, Mack Shults III all of Murfreesboro; five grandchildren, Zakery McKinney, Issah McKinney, Noah Shults, Gabriella Shults, Bailey Shults; two sisters Joyce White of Lawrenceburg, TN, Peggy Bernatek of Lincoln Park, Michigan; three brothers, Boyd Shults of Houston, TX, Willie E. Shults of Ethridge, TN, Charlie Ray Shults of Smyrna, TN, and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Shults was preceded in death by infant twins, one day old; parents, Nell Shults and Clellen Shults, and sister, Debbie Lafferty.
Mack had many dear friends and will be missed very much.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00pm on Friday, April 11, 2008 at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Ray officiating. Burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery with Military Honors. Pallbearers will be Tim Shults, Rick Shults, John Shults, Mike Shults, Chuck Shults, and Lonnie McKinney.
Visitation with the family will be from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at Murfreesboro Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations be made to the Building fund at Lighthouse Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
