Walter called me on a regular basis and would leave a message-"Thomas,this is Walter I thought I'd give you a holler." I really enjoyed my conversations with him and will miss him dearly. I guess God had a need for a good country boy.We love you.

I'm so sorry and sad to hear of this wonderful man in our family passing...The last time I saw him, I was around 4-5 years old, I always loved watching him fix things, and he always had a smile and some candy for me : ) I always called Uncle Walter " Man on the hill" because they lived on a hill, and would ask my dad "Can we go see the man on the hill?" Lol Rip Uncle Walter, save a spot for me on the hill....,

I will always Love and Miss you Uncle Walter. You were a wonderful, and fun person! I know Mom, Nanny, and many others in our large family are there in Heaven with you now. Tell them all high, and that we love them too! I am sorry that I am not going to be available for the viewing or funeral, but I am there in my heart. I wish I could make it. I hope you know how awesome you made my Summer visits to Tennessee, we had so much fun. I will never forget all that you have done for me. Thank you for being so great, and helping my Mother get through one of the roughest times in her life. I will never forget you. I LOVE YOU, AND MISS YOU VERY MUCH!!!
