Obituary of Phillip Smotherman

Phillip Wayne "Julio" Smotherman, 54, of Christiana, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. Mr. Smotherman was a native of Murfreesboro and was an employee of Huddleston-Steele Engineering.
Mr. Smotherman was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Smotherman and sister, Carolyn Smotherman. He is survived by his wife, Wendy Smotherman; children, Jeremy Smotherman Armstrong; Josh Smotherman; Calvin Smotherman; Shelby Smotherman Day; Chris Russell all of Christiana; Charles Russell of Lebanon; mother, Bertha Lee Smotherman of Murfreesboro; brothers, Bud (Robin) Smotherman of Christiana; Jimmy (Carrie) Smotherman of Murfreesboro; sisters, Debbie (Tommy) Bain of Bell Buckle; Sharon (David) Samons of Murfreesboro; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, March 14, 2014 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home
Funeral service will be Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 2:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Bro. Roy Robinson officiating. Burial to follow at Whitworth Cemetery. Pallbearers will be friends.
