Obituary of Goldie Tanis

Goldie Ruth DeYoung Tanis, 79, of Murfreesboro passed away Friday, October 3, 2008 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. Mrs. Tanis was born in South Holland, Illinois to the late Henry and Winnie Henrietta DeYoung. She was a homemaker and was a member of Abiding Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Smyrna, Tennessee.
Mrs. Tanis was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Victor Tanis of Murfreesboro; daughters, Susan (William) Keuch of Homer Glen, IL; Debra ( Jesse) Bustamante of Cedar Lake, IN; Carol (Henry) Rouse of Rockvale, TN; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and sister Harriet DeYoung; brothers, Elmer DeYoung and Ken DeYoung; many nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be Friday October 10, 2008 at 11:00 am at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lansing, IL with Pastor Paul Appold officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to Abiding Faith Evangelical Lutheran church in Smyrna, TN, Trinity Evangelical Lutheran School and Calvin Christian School both in IL.
