George Blanton, age 52, of Lavergne, passed away Friday, October 17, 2008 at Stonecrest Medical Center. He was a steelworker and a member of Heritage Baptist Church.
Mr. Blanton was preceded in death by his father, Glen Austin Blanton and a grandson, Draven Roy Ables.
Mr. Blanton is survived by is loving wife, Jacki Blanton of Lavergne; mother, Velma Blanton of Crete, IL; sons, Michael (Cassandra) Blanton of Steger, IL, Jarrod (Ashley) Blanton of Lavergne and Tony Skold of Crete, IL; daughter, Jessica Blanton of Lavergne; brothers, Gary (Dolly) Blanton Las Vegas and Glen (Rebecca) Blanton of Peotone, IL; grandchildren, Dallas Richards, Autumn Blanton and PJ Ables; mother in law, Katie Taylor of Glenwood, IL.
The family will receive friends Monday, October 20, 2008 from 12:00 pm until the service at 1:00 p.m. at Heritage Baptist Church, 729 South Lowery Street, Smyrna. Pastor Rodney Hendon will officiate.
