Bernice Chumney, 41, of Murfreesboro, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2008. Mrs. Chumney was a Sign Language Interpreter with Helping Hands and was a member of Third Baptist Church.
Mrs. Chumney is survived by her father, Lorenzo Perez of Austin, TX; mother, Adela Perez of Grand Prairie, TX; sons, Ben Chumney and Sam Chumney both of Murfreesboro; father of her children, Douglas Chumney of Murfreesboro; sister, Eunice "Oscar" Delabarcena of Grand Prairie, TX; brothers, Ignacio Perez of SanAngelo, TX; Lorenzo (Dawn) Perez of Virginia Beach, VA; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, October 29, 2008 from 4:00pm-8:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 1:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
