John, Sherry and I learned yesterday, 17 May 2009 of the passing of "your" Sherry. We are so sorry we couldn't be there for you and the boys. Be comforted in the knowledge that Sherrys' suffering is no more. "She is with her savior." "God will Bless you and give comfort to your family." Randolph and Sherry Salyers

My thoughts go out to the family of Sherry and all those who were friends of her. John, even though we've never met, I admire your strength and your love for Sherry. I know challenging times are ahead of you now, but I know you'll get through this. From what I've read, you have wonderful family and friends to lean on. Take care.

I met you and Sherry about a year ago. You both inspired me on a regular basis. Sherry's great spirit and your obvious love were alway apparent. My heart grieves for your loss. Sherry is getting her rewards and living where we all will be someday - in the presence of our merciful Lord. My family continues to pray for you and your family that Jesus will bring you peace and comfort.

We got to know Sherry thru Scottie and the Caringbridge network, and we added Sherry continually to our prayers. Our thoughts go out to all the family. I remember so well Sherry telling the JEEP story, what a story, what a great lady!

I had the pleasure of meeting John and Sherry while driving through my neighborhood one sunny day and John was working in his beautiful yard in the subdivision. I had always admired how beautiful their yard was and always hoped to have a chance to let them know. One day I did. I was graciously extended an offer to pull in their driveway and met their two wonderful boys as well as Sherry. Just two very compassionate people and I considered it an honor to have known Sherry for the short time in which I did. May God be with John and their two wonderful sons as well as the rest of the family during this time.

John, I wish I could find the words to make you feel better during this painful time. I want you to know how deeply saddened I am to hear this tragic news. How difficult it must be to lose someone so close to you. My heart goes out to you and Sherry's families. We know she is in a place where there is suffering or pain no more. My deepest sympathies.
