Joseph Cook, 90, of Murfreesboro passed away Thursday, July 16, 2009 at NHC. Mr. Cook was a native and life-long resident of Rutherford County. He was a member of Central Christian Church and retired from Murfreesboro Police Department as Dispatcher for 30 years.
Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey and Anne Cook and 4 brothers. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lola Cook; sons, David (Deidra) Cook of Campbellsville, KY; Jerry Cook of Murfreesboro; daughter, Brenda Cook of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Chris Cook; Cody Cook; and Anthony Cook.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Sunday, July 19, 2009 at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Pastor Boyd Stiles officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Murfreesboro Police Department will serve as pallbearers and honor guard.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 18, 2009 from 3:00pm - 7:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home.
