Margie Vaughn, 58, of Smyrna, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at her home. She was born in Rutherford County to the late John and Olive Cook Brannon and former employee for 35 years of General Electric and a member of the Church of Christ.
Margie is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Melvin Lee Vaughn. She is survived by her four sons, David Wayne Vaughn of Murfreesboro, Jamie Vaughn of Smyrna, Marvin Vaughn of Cannon County, Lee Vaughn of Smryna,; daughter Denise Vaughn of Christiana; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Billy Brannon of Smyrna and John Michael Brannon Estill Springs. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, August 15, 2009 beginning at 4:00 p.m. with services following at 6:00 p.m. at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Carver officiating.
In lieu of flowers family ask for donations be made to Tennessee Breast Cancer Coalition P.O. Box 158014 Nashville, TN 37215-8014.
