Just found out that Kevin passed. I can't believe it. Kevin & I would wait for the school bus together from 7th grade on. I was overweight and painfully shy, but Kevin never once made fun of me - instead, he would go out of his way to include me in his life. People naturally gravitated toward Kevin because he was kind, smart, and funny. Through the years, I often thought about Kevin-wondering if he was traveling the world and if Life was being good to him. Forgive me, Kevin, for not being a better friend to you -you always deserved the best - I hope you know now how much I appreciated you.

Justin, I have been thinking about your words you spoke at the memorial service and how perfect they were, and how you were able to do it. I just couldn't, but have been thinking about what I wanted to say. I think what it comes down to is this: Kevin was the closest friend I have ever had, and will ever have. I loved him, he knew it, and I will miss him always. Those of us who knew him best will always be able to smile when we think of him, and know how happy he was to share his life with people who loved him for himself. Tears and smiles from Taiwan from Denise, Cole, Jason & Katie.

Justin, My heart goes out to you and Kevins Mom. Iknow how much Kevin meant to you. He was ALWAYS so very nice to me and always took the time to thank me for the Pimento Cheese, Snickerdoodles or when I help decorate your house for Xmas. The world will be a less kind place without Kevin in it. If you need anything that I can help with, you have but to let me know (476-2833). I never stopped loving you both...wish I had told you both sooner. love, Gayle

I am so sorry for your loss. I was Kevin's co-op/coordinated studies work program teacher at Grissom High School for two years. He was a wonderful individual and an outstanding student. I had not seen him in quite some time but did think of him often. A few years ago while visiting Huntsville he biked over to my house in southeast Huntsville and chatted for a few minutes. He told me then that he had been battling another form of cancer and I had hoped that all was clear for him. Kevin's parents did a wonderful job rearing him; I can't even begin to convey my sorrow that the world has lost him. May God bless his family and friends. Ann Douglas
