Melanie, I have been viewing the guestbook and reading all the "stories" of Dusty - but no one could tell a story quite like he could. I often teased Dusty about sitting on the front porch having you bring him Lemonade - but he'd correct me stating he liked sweet tea. Dusty would tell me how great his Jambalya was, the best you ever tasted - and I know that he will have a big pot waiting for us all when we see him again. Dusty loved you and his sons very much - he will be truely missed.

Melanie and Family, I had the priviledge of spending several years with Dusty at LSU and being his KA brother since then. He was a very kind, giving person who always was willing to help others. Although I have not seen him in many years, our bond with fraternity brothers never dims and remains forever strong..know that all of us will miss him and share your sorrow at this very difficult time..May God bring you and your family strength today and in the days to come without Dusty. Melanie, I was introduced to Dusty by my husband, John Goodwin who was a fellow KA. We had so many fun times together at the Tiger Plaza Apartments and LSU football games. My heartfelt sorrow for your loss. Dusty was such a kind person. May you find peace and God's comfort in the coming days. To Melanie and family: I was a KA with Dusty at LSU and shared a room with Dusty in the frat house one semester. I am so saddened to hear of his passing and my thoughts and prayers are with you. Although I had not seen Dusty often since college, I consider him one of my good friends from those days and always will. Dusty had a big heart and was a kind person. He was also a very entertaining roommate. I know Dusty will be missed by all.
