Obituary of Charlie Dotson

Charlie Dotson, 58, of Christiana, passed away Monday 18, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Dotson was born in Bremerhaven, Germany to the late Gerald and Laura Dotson. He served in the United States Navy on the USS Forrestal from 1971 to 1974. He was an avid fisherman, loving husband, father, and brother.
Mr. Dotson is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Marsha Dotson; son, G.W. (Kelly) Dotson of Murfreesboro; step-children, Mike (Tammy) Wilson of Shelbyville; Brian Wilson of Murfreesboro; Stacey Wilson of Murfreesboro; sisters, Teresa Guiler of Murfreesboro; Pam (Steve) Motil of Ohio; Linda Vaughn of Lascassas; granddaughter, Aubrie Hope Dotson; nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, January 20, 2009 from 9:00am until the memorial service at 11:00am at Murfreesboro Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.
