Obituary of Jerry Cox

Jerry Cox, 38, of Bell Buckle, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at his residence. Jerry was born in Athens, GA and attended Millersburg Baptist Church. He was a Machine Operator for Dodd Construction. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Eugene Cox and aunt, Margie Lamb. He is survived by his wife, Mandi Porter Cox; son, Justin Hall Cox; mother Judy Cox Reed (Steven Reed); grandmother, Nixon Davis both of Athens, GA; several other family members; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Hall and Gayle Porter; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bryant and Onita Porter; niece, Caylee Porter all of Christiana; and many family and friends. The family will receive friends Friday, May 20, 2011 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 11:00am at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Hoffman and Lewis Perry officiating. Burial to follow at Old Millerburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Gayle Porter to help with medical and funeral expenses.
