Dearest Betty, Our hearts are saddened at hearing of Mike's untimely death. Time really has a way of getting away from us, especially the older we get. Martha Ann and I were reminiscing last night about the many "good times" we all had from the mid- 80's to the mid-90's as employees of Sandoz. The last time we were all together was Christmas 1996 at Dan Payant's home. You and Mike were always special friends to us. We know the Lord will give you the strength you need at this time. Dear Betty and Michael, I am so sorry to hear of Mike's passing. Mike was very instrumental in shaping my career as I began work with Velsicol Chemical Company, in June 1985, as the "rookie sales rep". I traveled with Mike across Tennessee and Mississippi learning the trade. Mike and I shared many of the same interests, and many stories and laughs! Mike was a dear, sincere, family man, and a dear friend to me. Mike was always ready to greet someone with a warm smile and a hand shake. Through the years, and mergers, we were pulled apart, but Mike has, and always will have a special place in my heart. Someday I will again be greeted with "Hey Willie, How are you!"
