Obituary of Elmore Lokey

Elmore Clayton Lokey, age 76, passed away Wednesday, October 04, 2006 at his home. He was a native and life long resident of Rutherford County. He worked in the construction business and was a member of Beulah Land Baptist Church.
Mr. Lokey was preceded by his parents, George Lawrence and Annie Temperence Smotherman Lokey; brothers, William (Bill) Lokey, Billy Lokey and George W. Lokey; sisters, Annie T. Simpson, Mary Lou McGhee and Lorene Davis.
Mr. Lokey is survived by his wife, Dorothy Curlee Lokey; children, Jerry (Penny) Lokey, Tillman (JoAnn) Lokey, Terry (Diane) Lokey, Janie Lokey (Edward) all of Murfreesboro, Ken Williamson of Winchester, Leigh Ann (Tracy) Pugh of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Bubba, Tim, Travis, Kenzee, Rachel and Kasey; great grandchildren, Jerry, Chastity, Clay, Mattie, Abby, Amber, Lilly, Jailyn, Ashlyn and Faith; brother, Charles (Bandy) Lokey of Murfreesboro; sister, Martha Davenport of Murfreesboro.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday, October 05, 2006 beginning at 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm, Friday, October 06, 2006 at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Murray and Pastor Gary Dyer officiating. Burial will follow at Whitworth Cemetery.
