Obituary of Deborah Strickland-Skinner

Deborah Strickland-Skinner, 41, of Murfreesboro, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at the Middle Tennessee Medical Center after her difficult battle with cancer. She was born November 09, 1968 in Little Rock, AR to the late James Hollis and Mildred Louise Barnes-Strickland. She was a 1986 graduate of TL Weston High School in Greenville, MS. She worked as the Finance and Insurance Manager for Victory Nissan South in Shelbyville. She enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, camping, canoeing, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Skinner was preceded in death her parents; sister, Donnelle Rogers; and her brother James Earl Rogers. She is survived by her husband, Robert Clayton Skinner of Murfreesboro; son, Matthew Hollis Strickland of Murfreesboro; step-son, William Clayton Skinner of Murfreesboro; brother, Ronald Rogers of Denham Springs, LA; sisters, Jo Ann Finklea; Sandra Rushin of Laurel, MS; and Tracy Hendrix of Byhalia, MS. Visitation with family will be Wednesday, June 16, 2010 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home and Friday, June 18, 2010 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Boone Funeral Home in Greenville, MS. Funeral service will be Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 11:00am at Boone Funeral Home in Greenville, MS with Bro. Mark Rowlen. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Greenville, MS.
