Words are so inadequate at such a time as this. To lose a child is a violation of nature. Our children are supposed to mourn us in the natural order of things. For whatever reason those of us left behind should press on with our lives and give Dylan immortality by keeping him in our memory and by honoring him with a smile and a tear when we think of him. Kelly, my heart goes out to you. May you be granted a measure of peace by knowing that we, your friends, think of you and include you in our prayers.

Kelli, Don and Steve...I don't have the words to express my sympathy for you guys. I was there when Dylan was born and am honored to know him as a toddler. I am sorry I did not know him growing up. I am deeply sorry and pray for you all! Love you, Kelli!!

I received a flyer this weekend for a fund raiser for Dylan and was struck immediately by the sweetness of his smile. I never knew this young man but my heart aches for his family and friends who were left behind. I am so very sorry he is gone and I hope that your heart will be whole again one day. Take comfort in knowing that complete strangers also mourn the loss of your son. I'm going to keep the flyer with Dylan's picture as a reminder of how precious life is. May God bless you and keep you in your time of sorrow.
