Jack Simmons, age 80, of Murfreesboro, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2006 at Boulevard Terrace Nursing Center. A native of McKenzie, TN, he retired as an educator with the Department of Education and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Mr. Simmons was preceded in death by his parents, William Brown and Irene Billington Simmons. He is survived by his wife Mazie E. Simmons of Murfreesboro; sons, Jack ( Kathy) Simmons of Nashville and Larry (SuzAnne) Simmons of Brentwood; daughter, Vicki Cawthorn of Christiana; grandchildren, Sherri Simmons, Scott Simmons and Ryan Cawthorn; sister, Shirley (Jack) Martin of McKenzie; 2 nieces.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday, November 26, 2006 beginning at 4:30 pm until 7:30 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, November 27, 2006 at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Smotherman officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
