Dr. Polk was a great man, not just a great doctor. It takes a lot to remember thngs about your patients, but he always did. He was my doctor from the age of 4 until now. He took the time to talk to me about life and how everything was going, not just what was wrong with me. It means a lot when someone is interested in who you are as well as your well being. He set the bar high for caring and loving people in physician world. I just wanted o say thanks for how he took care of me when I needed it most, and for how much it meant to me for him to care far beyond what was making my body sick. He cared about me as a person, as well as a lot of others. I'll see you soon Dr. Polk.

Dear Janet, I was so sorry to see the notice of your husband's death in the Gainesville Sun recently. I did not know Allen, but always heard wonderful things about him. Please pass on my sympathy to Kim and Mark on the loss of their dad. I substituted in both of their classes at Terwilliger, and your chidren were always so polite and helpful. I always enjoyed substituting for you, as you always had everything so well organised, and you had created such a pleasant working environment for the children. We missed you when you left. I send my heartfelt sympathy to you at this time. Sincerely, Pat Neilson

Words are insufficient to describe what Mr. Allen meant to everyone who knew him. How can words adequately describe a dedicated, committed, honorable, devoted, and God-loving man? His actions spun rings around words! When I was a young girl growing up in Lake Butler, Fl, Mr. Allen preached at the Church of Christ I attended in Brooker, FL. He had a way with the words of the Bible that put a fire in one's soul. I loved listening to him preach the word of God. When Mr. Allen & Mrs. Janet moved to KY, I kept track of them from family members in Lake Butler. I am ashamed to say that I was not aware that he changed his profession to Family Physician, or that he relocated to TN, but I know he was an inspiration to his fellow human beings wherever he resided, and in whatever he did. I have no doubt that Mr. Allen is now a permanent resident of Heaven. Another star is in the sky! My heartfelt condolences go out to Mrs. Janet, Kimberly, Mark, Mrs. Gwen, Janice, Fleeta, Mervene, Mr. Donald, and his entire family. We have lost a wonderful man on Earth, but Heaven has gained a man with a heart of gold. Take care, and God Bless You! Cathy Crawford-Naracon Parents: Melvin & Frances Crawford

Mrs.Polk, It has been such a blessing to me to have Dr. Polk as my physician for the past 16 years. He was the most compassionate and competent doctor I have ever been associated with as a nurse or as a patient. He was such a comfort to me in my own health struggles andan example while dealing with his own. Prayers of peace and comfort for you during this time. I shall think of Dr. Polk now being pain free and chatting with all the new friends he is making in his new Heavenly home. Ede White
