Joe, Chris, Jason and Joey--I am very sorry it took so long to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. I'm glad you all spent Christmas together. We were in Fort Lauderdale, and drove by Julie & Stan's house but it was locked up and dark, so we figured they were with you. It sounds as though she was lucky enough to be in her own home, surrounded by her family. I hope she did not suffer. Our thoughts are with you. Take care. Love Patti, Coco and Chris

Dear Joe and boys - you all know how Chais and I had a bond for over 13 yrs. Imagine - satellite technology brought us together. We clicked immediately like sisters from a previous life. We shared everything about our lives (a parallel)- childhood, kids, husbands, homes, jobs, interests and dreams. We talked for two hours in January - our last real talk. I miss her everyday and feel her presence. I know she's looking out for all of us. God bless her and all of you. Love - Gloria, Eugene and family

Dear Joe, Chris,Jason, and Little Joe: Each of you were blessed with the presence of Chais - her warmth, beauty, spirituality. It was so obvious how much she loved you all. She lit up the room when she walked in the door, and she will no doubt do the same in paradise. Jill and I had some great times with Chais, and will miss her. She was my favorite person to teach, as she was unafraid and fierce, while still being so compassionate and beautiful. Now she is even more a part of G-d's holy river, and even more at peace, if that be possible, than she has been in these wonderful last years up there. Let there be Peace to you boys, and Peace to my good friend Joe.

Joe, Chris, Jason and Jo Jo, I am so sorry for your tremendous lost, but grateful that you had such an awesome wife and mother for the time that you did. I can remember first meeting Joe and Chais and thinking what a beautiful couple. Then you boys came along and each of you received the best of your Mom and Dad. Your Aunt Julie is a very important part of my life and I love her dearly. I have spent 29 years having you guys as my extended family and have shared your happy times and sad times. You each are left with a legacy of memories and love. I can promise you this, the love you received before will be with you always, it is within your spirit, your heart and your memories and the presence of your beautiful wife and mother will always be near you, forever and always. God Bless you all. Billie Nichols-Wathen

To my dear brother, Chris, Jason and Joe. I am so very glad that you are all there together. (You too Christine!) Joe, you know that you are my hero. Your devotion and love was nothing more than I would expect...however...no less remarkable. You are an inspiration to all. I treasure our daily chats and you know that I am always here for you. My family will hold this past Christmas as the most incredible of all. It was wonderful being there together. I will never forget the time that I got to have with Chais. Those ten days went by so quickly. She and I shared a lot. We laughed, we cried. We had our little Christmas miracle and then the realization that the fight was coming to an end. Leaving there was one of the hardest things I have ever done. However, I know that when I come back Chais is there in every part of your house. She was so very happy there in that little part of the world. Her dream house, fixed just the way she wanted it. I'll picture her on the mower cutting the grass... in he flower beds or the garden... Filling her bird feeders...maybe most of all -all dressed in black and out out in the backyard with Joe, Jason, Sandy and Spencer and a paint ball gun! That was a beautiful sight to behold! See you next week. I love you all. Julie/Stan/Sandy and Spencer
