Mrs. Bettye Jo King Bassham was born May 20, 1941 and she passed away on Friday night, October 31, 2014 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro at the age of 73.
Mrs. Bassham was born in Russellville, KY to the late Joe Boyce King and Mildred Cobb King. She was married to the late David S. Bassham who passed away March 14, 2013.
Mrs. Bassham was preceded in death by her husband, parents and son, David Andrew Bassham.
Survivors include son, Richard Bassham of Murfreesboro, Daughter, Vickie Jo McGuire of Murfreesboro and 9 grandchildren.
Mrs. Bassham was a member of the North Boulevard Church of Christ and love spending time with grandchildren and attending their sporting events. She loved to read and travel and will be loved forever.
Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 3, 2014, 4-8 PM at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Visitation will also be on Tuesday 11-1 at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Memorial service will be conducted Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014 at 1 PM in the Chapel of Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Bro. David Young officiating.
