Mr. Earl Layfette Taylor age 65 of Murfreesboro went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 28, 2014 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital at the age of 65.
Mr. Taylor was born in Philadelphia, Mississippi to Willis Earl and Helen Marie Ingram Taylor. He was married to Diane Myers Taylor who survives.
Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his father Willis Earl Taylor.
Mr. Taylor was an Executive VP of Fred's Stores and a member of the Barfield Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Myers Taylor of Murfreesboro, 1 Son: Greg (Vickie) Taylor of Murfreesboro, 1 Daughter, Amanda (Darryl) Davis of Christiana, Mother, Helen Marie Clark of Philadelphia, MS, Sister, Isabel (Aubrey) Conn of Philadelphia, MS. 6 Grandchildren: Chris Taylor of Chattanooga, Hunter and Chase Taylor both of Murfreesboro, Riley Davis, Chloe Davis and Luke Davis all of Christiana.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 30, 2014 1-5 PM at Murfreesboro Funeral Home and again on Monday, December 1, 2014 12-1 PM at Barfield Baptist Church with funeral services beginning at 1 PM with Bro. Ron Byers officiating.
Burial will be in Miller Cemetery in Christiana.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
