Joy Ann Spence was born November 14, 1940 in Cannon County, TN and she passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center at the age of 74.
Mrs. Spence was the daughter of the Bill and Ina Woods Mears. She was a community service coordinator with the Smyrna Police Department.
Mrs. Spence was preceded in death by her parents and one son, James Tillman Spence II.
Survivors include one daughter, Rhonda Curley of Delaware, sister Judy Tunks of Watertown, TN, 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, February 20, 2015, 11 am to 2 pm in the Chapel of Murfreesboro Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 2 pm. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
