Obituary of Tommie Mason Blair

Mr. Tommie Blair, beloved husband to Virginia for 68 years. Father to Ronnie (Joanne), Beverly, Sandra and Sheila (Terry) went to be with our Savior, who Tommie served and well-exemplified throughout his entire life, December 2, surrounded by his family who will miss his genteel and humble spirit. Tommie was preceeded in death by his parents, John C. Blair, Jr. and Mary E. (Kirby) Blair. Brothers Henry (Joyce), Howard (Annie Opal), Walter (Louise), Luther (Naomi), and Carlton; Sisters Flora (Hoover) Markum, Christine (Carl) Smith; son-in-law, Ken Neighbours and best buddy and dearly loved grandson, Jason Keith Goodman. Survived by sister, Meda (Nobel), his four children, seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Tommie was a lifelong farmer who loved the outdoors and a man who brought forth the best of those around him, demonstrated by all the care takers which were involved with him these last several months. They all spoke to his family how much they loved and appreciated his sweet and kind spirit and how they all loved working with him. No better epitaph could be written than by showing Christ in your most difficult times. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 from 11 am until 1 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 1 pm with Bro. Ford Holman officiating. Interment will be at Center Hill Cemetery in Cannon County.
