Marcel Wilfred Arel Junior, husband, father, grandfather and friend left this world for the eternal happiness of heaven on February 21, 2016. He was born on 6 February, 1951 in Bellingham Massachusetts to Marcel L. and Lilian R. (Arcand) Arel. He is survived by his son Marcel T. Arel and his wife, Jennifer, son Jason M. Arel and his wife, Christina, sisters Patricia MacRae and Nancy Rinfrette, and grandchildren, Philip, Drew, MaKenzy, Logan, Madison, Montana, Jack and Jason Jr.
Marcel was an animated, witty, and kind man who was devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren. He was an unwavering Atlanta Falcons fan living most of his life in New England Patriot nation. He spent decades in civic service to the town of Bellingham, Massachusettes and Rutherford County, Tenneseee supporting the public school systems. In the end he found his way home, hand in hand with his one true love into eternity. “They that love beyond the world cannot be separated by it, Death cannot kill what never dies.”~William Penn
He will be laid to rest next to his wife in a private ceremony planned later this summer. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in his name to Fisher House www.fisherhouse.org, providing military families housing close to a loved one during hospitalization for an illness, disease or injury.
