To The Family of May
You are all in our thoughts at this time. May was a great lady and an inspiration of how to be joyful and enjoy life. She always had a smile and a big wave, as she drove by our house. Thoughts and prayers are with each of you and pray that wonderful memories help to sustain you.

I had the honor and the privilege of being able to meet Mrs. Sweat at St. Thomas West Hospital. Although I was only with her for a short period of time, just long enough to draw her blood, she stole my heart. What an amazing woman!!! I was also able to meet some of her family and spend some time with her Daughter. What a wonderful family she raised! Although I had hoped for a different outcome, I am reminded every day that God is in charge. My thoughts and prayers are with each and every one of you and may God bring you comfort during this difficult time. I know that you will miss her, very much. I will never forget her. She was a very, special person! With Deepest Sympathy, Jane Varney

Carol, I am so sorry to hear about your Mother. You were lucky she lived a good long life. I remember her and John when they ran Tylers. I always thought she was a pretty lady. My friend Lynette's mother was Mildred Leslie. She was a good friend of May's. I remember when I was a kid hearing her talk of May and how much she thought of her. Lynette died of a heart attack 2 or 3 yrs ago. Her mother Mildred is in a nursing home up in the northern part of Indiana. Her brother Robbie is in the same nursing home. Do you remember them? You've been gone from Rockport for years. I am glad you got to have your Mom down there with you. Sorry for your loss.

I loved Mae very much, beginning in the first grade when I met Sherry. Mae had an enthusiasm for life that was hard to beat. She made me laugh and I never saw her angry, no matter what mischief we got in. She took us wherever we wanted to go; never c
complaining. She was one of a kind. My parents, who are both deceased, also had wonderful memories of Mae and John. They use to tell me about going dancing every Saturday night with John and Mae at the Trokidero. How Mae would giggle and what fun they would have.We will all miss her.
