"Juls" was that and more. So bright, so loving, so compassionate. We met by chance and instantly knew that we were friends for life. We'd scoot around Clay Co., in and out of the library, and up and down the back roads looking for kin. Meeting each year for the Rich Reunion and having a ball. We always stayed at the lake and we always made new friends. She was a joy to have as a friend and I will miss her terribly.
My prayers go out to Lane, Ann and Clay. What a special wife and mother she was and her granddaughters were her pride and joy. How lucky Heaven is to receive her and keep her warm and comforted.
Much love and sympathy from Lea in Whitewright, Texas

Dear Lane and family,
I am so sorry for the loss of Julia. She was such a wonderful, caring and supportive aunt to us throughout our entire lives. Julia always lit up the room with her beautiful smile and huge hugs, not to mention her talent for being a wonderful cook. I will never forget all the chocolate chess pies she would always bring to the family events. Heaven is shining brighter today with her huge personality and loving smile.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all today and always,
Melissa Minatra Firetti

Lane, Clay and Ann,
I am just heart-broken today, as we mourn the loss of my last-surviving aunt, Julia.
She was so inspiring to so many and for so much that she did for others.
She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and I must say Aunt.
Her expertise, experience and love of genealogy meant so much for me and all of the members of Minatra family . . . she taught us all so much. So many memories.

I met Julia through our love for our Ancestry several years ago and found we were related and had the same Great Grandparents, Andrew Jackson Odle the First. My daddy as the Second. I finally got to meet her at the Family reunion in Celina, Tennessee a few years back. I had lost touch with her in my moving to Florida and losing my husband Jack in 2016. She truly was a beautiful loving Lady. May she rest in peace and her Family she loved so very much be comforted by our LORD as only HE can comfort.

Dear Lane and Family,
Jim and I are saddened to hear of Julia’s passing. We pray that you are surrounded by God’s love and presence as each of you face this new reality. Daddy and my brother loved Julia. They always looked forward to seeing each of you at the Bethesda Homecoming (which is this weekend) and sampling Julia’s homemade banana pudding. Precious memories for sure!
Sending love and prayers,
Jim and Jane (Cardin) Hicks, Huntsville, Alabama

Julia was a remarkable Christian woman who made an impression on anyone she met or knew. She was like a second mom to me - spent so much time with her and the whole Minatra family., especially while Ann and I were in high school. She was always positive and upbeat; had the best wisdom and advice to share; and always reassured us that “it will be alright”.
I especially remember the great southern meals she prepared and her willingness and how much enjoyment she got out of taking Ann & I to Florida on breaks that we had.
I love her and will miss her - and am forever grateful for the great influence she had in my life. I admired her and will always treasure memories of her - what a legacy she is leaving behind!
